This very rare, extraordinary, very early map was the first recorded city planning map for the extension of the Boston metro underground subway system in the city, projected to also service other neighborhoods in the city, besides only downtown Boston. It was previously folded & there are a few minor fold breaks & one instance of some slight paper loss along one of the folded creases.
