Primitive 18th/19th Century 1700s/ 1800s Native American Indian Trade Knife: $675.00
Knife is in original condition with wear and some corrosion measuring approximately 9 1/2” inches long with a 6 1/4 inch double edged hand forged blade with an approximate 3/8 median ridge having a full tang. Hilt appears to be a later addition and is brass pinned NATIVE AMERICAN TRADE KNIFE, straight-back blade, unmarked, replaced handle grips made by Shenandoah Valley folk carver John D. Heatwole (1948-2006). Found under a house in Waynesboro, VA. Late 18th/first half 19th century. 9 3/4" L. From the estate of Larry Derrer, Harrisonburg, VA. Lot 784h4t2000478
