Petrified Wood Tree Branch Excellent Cellular Replacement Specimen Southern Utah For Sale

This is a listing for a  petrified wood fossil from Hurricane Utah. 

The cellular replacement of this wood is outstanding. You can clearly see the wood grain, and the color of this specimen looks like it could be a living piece of wood.

Bark grain is clearly visible around this complete round of a petrified wood branch. It is so well preserved that this material has significant relief and texture of the ancient bark.

Fossils from this area are found in the Morrison formation. It is amazing that Utah was once covered by a shallow ocean and these trees were alive when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

This specimen is a great addition for an avid collector or someone just interested in natural history. It is also perfect as a teaching tool for teachers, children or as a special gift.
