This is an ancient Order of Knighthood. Established in the 13th century. In direct lineage of the Templar Knights. It is awarded by the President of Portugal.

Grand Cross of the Order.

This Order is from the Late 19th century. Crafted by a very well known jeweler Frederico da Costa in Lisbon. They have been producing jewels for centuries. They are still in business.

I do not see a silver mark. But definitely made of high quality silver I'm sure. Just can't guarantee it.

Condition is Excellent antique. No damage. Minor wear here and there. Fine working clasp pin on reverse. It is 70mm wide, or 2 3/4 inches. Weighs 50 grams or 1.7 ounces. High vaulted Star.
