Up for offer is a Original Civil War Era 1841 Dated Naval Cutless with Scabbard made in France. Prime sword imported by the confederate forces. Has leather scabbard complete with brass fittings. Sword total length is 32 3/4 inch, Blade is 26 3/4. Maker marked and dated 1841 on top of blade. Complete sword is in great untouched attic condition with beautiful rich old patina. Blade has several nicks to the blade so look closely at the pictures. If you wanted a perfect sword this is not it, but one that really saw some action.
