The book “Women in Space” by Lyudmila Shcherbanyuk presents biographies of women who have linked their destiny with flights into extraterrestrial space and scientific research in orbit. In the historical context of the development of space programs in different countries, it tells about the path of each heroine to the stars, impressions of being outside the atmosphere, as well as about their earthly life. The publication is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of women’s contribution to the achievement of manned space exploration and activities in microgravity conditions. Flights of Women into Space began on June 16, 1963 with the mission of Valentina Tereshkova. Personal stories of women astronauts will inspire all readers to strive for the stars, even if the path to them sometimes runs through thorns...... At the beginning of the book there is an inscription from the author: “To the Ukrainian Cultural Center in China with wishes for cosmic success” 04/8/2014 and signature.
The author is Lyudmila Shcherbanyuk, a graduate of the Faculty of Romance-Germanic Languages ​​of Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv.
