Featured is an original U.S. Union Army Civil War 1863 Musician\'s dress sword and scabbard. Made by Emerson & Silver of Trenton, NJ and marked so on throat of blade, reverse side is marked \"US 1863\". Both handle and tip of scabbard are marked \"DFM\", which are the inspectors initials. Scabbard is metal, which were only made by Emerson & Silver, all other manufacturers used leather. Scabbard is dent free, drag has some damage, but it\'s still very presentable. Blade has spotting and darkening from age, no dents or dings, and it\'s unsharpened. Handle has a nice dark patina from age. This is an excellent example of a Civil War Musicians sword,. that will make a great addition to your collection!
