THIS PARTICULAR ITEM

For your consideration is a Mamod William Train Set made in England in the 1980s.

Mamod discontinued the set due to its rising cost of production but they are still making the locomotives :

The set is in good condition and has been air tested (video).

It has been fired but was obviously well loved.

The little bottle of oil is missing. Any motor oil such as 10W 30 will do.

All original and in the original box with directions.

The box is not in very good condition (photo) with one flap torn. The styrofoam is good though.

You will need some solid fuel (anywhere camping supplies are sold) and distilled water is highly recommended.

There is an older box of solid fuel that is probably not useable any longer. I recommend getting some fresh pellets.

Please note that if an item has been only \"air tested\", it might need some work or adjustments to make it run on steam. I do not anticipate any problem with this particular set but 40+ years old gaskets might have dried up.

Condition :

This is a nice Mamod Train set.

It has been air tested (video).

It has been fired but obviously was well cared for.

Nice condition and complete with the exception of the little bottle of oil.

It comes with the original box that is in average condition with one side torn (photos).

I would rate it a solid C7.
