Modell Design LLC Early Work Tanto For Sale

This is an early work prototype tanto, which we are calling a cosmetic second (our Grade 3). It was a step on the learning curve for both Modell Design LLC and Iron Man Steel, Forge Master K. Ali\'s shop. It was not made by K. Ali rather it is a piece of history.
You will note that the logo is incomplete. It was stamped onto the steel after the steel had been tempered. One of the things we learned was that you can\'t use a logo stamp on hardened weapons grade steel. You are better off with laser engraving. This is also an example of tactical pinning. In this case there are six. The top and bottom of the exposed tang have full filework.Filework on the tang is not just aesthetic, it improves the grip. There is a gimped thumb indent and filework on the spine.
This knife is old, but it was never used and that is why it is classified as \"New.\" We got it, looked at it, and stuck it in a glass display case for what must be at least ten years. Take a look at the photos and you will note the lack of tarnish or rust on the glossy 52100 steel. This steel was neither oiled nor waxed. Think about it.The blade was professionally heat treated by a third-party specialist. The quality of the heat treatment is generally MORE IMPORTANT than the specific steel.
There is no sheath.
