Mad Magazine #27- Fine Plus (6.5) - Great Copy Classic Early Mad 1956 For Sale

A super sweet copy of this early Mad classic from 1956 -- just after it had switched to magazine format! This issue has in my opinion the best cover art in the history of the magazine. A classic design by Jack Davis featuring all kinds of contemporary figures from the mid \'50\'s including a small early rendition of Alfred E. Neuman. Although I\'m not a professional grader, I would give this copy a grade of Fine Plus, with the caveat that there is a tiny bit of unobtrusive tape repair to the upper left corner of the inside front cover to repair a very small tear. The magazine lies flat with intact staples and pages throughout. There is light wear and creasing to the front cover with a small area of discoloration in the upper right corner. There are some tiny stress lines to the spine with very small tears at the top and bottom of the spine. The pages are in outstanding condition with very slight signs of aging. There is light wear and creasing of the back cover with a small tear in the bottom right corner. This is a really nice copy of a very famous issue of Mad from the 1950\'s!
