Large Vintage Porcelain Wade British Navy Pusser's Rum HMS Victory Ship Decanter For Sale

We have the Iconic Pusser's Rum Decanter & Stopper, Wade, British Navy, Admiral Lord Nelson, Porcelain, 1 litre.This decanter is approx. 9" tall and 7 3/4" in diameter.The maker is George Wade & Son Ltd., issued in 1983 at the Manchester Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire, England.The British National Maritime Museum's description is: Ship's decanter and stopper with a blue neck, the white body printed in colour with an oval portrait of Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805) after Lemuel Abbott, a white ensign and union flag behind. Around the portrait is inscribed 'ADMIRAL . LORD . NELSON . PALMAM . QUI . MERUIT . FERAT.' There are three more prints as follows - within a chain border: 'ROYAL NAVY TRADITIONAL TOASTS Monday: "Our ships at sea." Tuesday: "Our men." Wednesday: "Ourselves (as no one is likely to concern themselves with our welfare.)" Thursday: "A bloody war and quick promotion." Friday: "A willing soul and sea room." Saturday: "Sweethearts and wives, may they never meet." Sunday: "Absent friends and those at sea." But the standing toast that pleased the most was "The wind that blows, the ship that goes, And the lass that lov'd a sailor!"' On lifebelts at the corners 'ST VINCENT 1797', 'THE NILE 1798', 'COPENHAGEN 1801', 'TRAFALGAR 1805'. The third print shows Britannia in a sea chariot 'RULE BRITANNIA . BRITONS NEVER SHALL BE SLAVES' shamrocks, thistles and roses placed behind. The final print is a Pusser's Rum label supported by dolphins 'BRITISH NAVY PUSSER'S RUM 9.5 PROOF 1.0 LITRE Bottled by Pusser's Ltd British Virgin Islands Product of British Virgin Islands'. Around the neck of the decanter, naval signal flags and the Trafalgar signal: 'ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY'. Around the base is 'MARE MERIDIES PACIFICUM', 'OCEANUS ARCTICUS', 'OCEANUS ANTARCTICUS', 'MARE SEPTENTRIO ATLANTICUM', 'MARE MERIDIES ATLANTICUM', 'MARE INDICUM', 'MARE SEPTENTRIO PACIFICUM'. There is a coloured picture of a warship under sail inscribed 'HMS VICTORY TRAFALGAR 1805' on the top of the stopper. The maker's mark and Nelson's facsimile signature is printed on the base.The decanter is EMPTY.
