Jennings Sportsman Golf Ball Slot Machine Excellent Condition For Sale

This is a VERY RARE Jennings Sportsman Golf Ball Slot Machine. A great find for any collector or the perfect birthday or holiday gift for your husband\'s man cave. Golf Ball Slot Machines were manufactured by Jennings when slots were bannedin most states, and these were sold to country clubs as golf ball \"vendors,\" although they operate as regular slots that pay out in golf balls. This is 25 cent machine. The early machines were made out of wood, one of the reasons they are rare and unique. This one has been professionally refinished once, and appears to have the original paper on the reels as well as the original awards card. The awards card has a few places where the ink has come off, but is still quite readable.
This machine works fine and has only ben used occasionally over the past 20 years. It still has the original inspection paper inside (Serial #145042). It was probably manufactured in the mid-1930s, although it could be earlier. Later models had an all-metal front. The locks and keys are all there.
These machines are rapidly appreciating and I have seen ones similar to this (but not as original) sell for over $12,000. My reserve is lower. This item is too heavy for UPS delivery, so buyer will need to arrange for crating and shipping. I can arrange delivery within 200 miles of Washjngton, D.C.(including NYC) for $250.
