Story and art by New Yorker cartoonist Shannon WheelerShannon Wheeler, an American cartoonist, is renowned for creating the satirical superhero Too Much Coffee Man and for his work in The New Yorker. Beginning his cartooning journey at UC Berkeley, he debuted with "Calaboose" and "Tooth and Justice" in The Daily Californian. He later moved to Austin, Texas, where he introduced Too Much Coffee Man in a weekly comic strip in 1990. Wheeler continued to develop the character through self-published zines, comic books, and webcomics, culminating in the Too Much Coffee Man Opera in 2006 and its sequel in 2008. His weekly strip, Postage Stamp Funnies, appeared in The Onion until 2009, after which he contributed to The New Yorker. In 2010, he released a collection of rejected cartoons from The New Yorker titled "I Thought You Would Be Funnier."
