My 9 year old daughter and I collect these stones on our three trips to the coast every year. We have fun finding them on the shore or in the low tides. We collect them in bags, clean them off with water, clean out any stones/mollusks/tubeworms/paddocks, set them out to dry, then photo them and post them for sale. My daughter uses the proceeds to buy herself art/school supplies. She’s having a lot of fun doing it.
We have 100’s of stones listed. We can offer discounted pricing one purchase La of more than one stone. If interested, please take a look at our stones and message us with the letter/number combination at the end of each listing title.
THE STONE HAS BEEN OUT OF WATER FOR AWHILE SO COLORATION AND DENSITY MAY DIFFER A BIT FROM PICTURES
Hag stones have occupied myth and magic folklore for centuries. But what are Hag Stones?
Hag stones are stones that have a naturally occurring hole inside them. These stones are often found along the coastal points, beaches, and streams. These holes occur from the elements beating down upon them over many years. There are also speculations that these mysterious stones may have been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is also known as a Witch Stone or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated with them. Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes you can see fairies.
