I believe it was made at the Carron foundry in Scotland opened in 1759

Once the largest foundry in Europe

This boot jack has some interesting markings on the underside, looks like No 3 embossed as well as 335

and possibly the letter B in a square

Stamped Carron and there is an arrowhead stamped logo at bottom center

Beautiful heart shaped Victorian Pattern above.

The 4\" spike is to install between bricks/cobblestones near the entrance.

Very nice condition
