This is a very clean amplifier. When I had the cover off of this amplifier Itook photos and examined various components.I checked the band switch and found no evidence of arcing. In addition, all components viewed appearednormal with no evidence of overheating.
I tested the power output and here arethe test results:

Comments:
1.I ran the tests with a fan cooled dry 50 ohm dummy load to measure the outputpower levels with a Bird Wattmeter and a 1000 watt slug. As a result, depending upon the impedance of agiven buyer\'s antenna, the load and plate tuning positions will vary. The photograph of the amplifier with the BirdWattmeter was taken when I ran the 40 meter test.
2.The manual indicates in the CW/Tune mode the final plate current shouldbe around 500ma, grid current between 100 & 200 ma, and a high voltage of2000v for the specified input power of 1000 watts so I only pushed the amp upto 500 ma.
3. Consideringthe age of this unit I was pleased with the tests especially the output on 10meters. Since this amplifier was notdesigned for the WARC bands I did not load the amp on them.
