GRISWOLD ~ Vintage Cast Iron AEBLESKIVER PANCAKE BALL PAN (962):
$68.00

Here we have an interesting, vintage and unique looking heavy duty cast iron 7-well AEBLESKIVER (or Ebleskiver, sometimes referred to as a Munk Pan) Scandinavian Pancake Ball Pan (size 32, part number 962) by GRISWOLD USA.
It measures approx. 9-1/4\" in diameter (add 4-3/4\" for the handle) x 1-3/4\" side high.
It is in good maintained (used) condition with no chips, cracks or warping (wobble, seeNOTE.) It has not been cleaned since acquired and is being offered in \"as found\" condition currently showing some interior cook/heat marks and some light dustings of oxidation/ruston the exterior bottom cup surfaces...all of which are not offensive (a clean and re-seasoning then good to go.)
[NOTE: Even though there is no bottom wobble, I am still hesitant to recommend this pan (or any other vintage cast iron pan) for use on a flat glass stovetop or induction stovetop surface because these users are very particular about the absolute \"flatness\" of skillets and I just want to avoid any kind of disappointment...works just fine on a gas/electric stovetop burner.]This Scandinavian treat is made by putting a batter mixture into each of the 2-3/8\" round wells (or cups) and turning them with a fork or picks until golden brown. There are many different recipes that can be found on the internet, apple being one of the most popular...or just plain with raspberry jam is often served. The bottom is marked, \"GRISWOLD ~ NO 32 ~ MADE IN USA ~ A 962.\" This cast iron Aebleskiver Pan heats evenly, retains the heat, and with consistent care it will last a lifetime (can also be used to poach or to shirr eggs - size small eggs.)
Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown. This item weighs approx. 5-1/2 lbs., add 2-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
