On August 9th, 1974, the 37th President of the United States, Richard M Nixon, resigned, the first and only President to do so.  He was succeeded by Gerald R. Ford, ending the most significant Constitutional crisis since the Civil War.  Few saved front-page headlines from that day as they sought to move on from the turmoil wrought by the Watergate break-in and its aftermath.  Offered here is an authentic copy of The Detroit News front page, beautifully framed in solid oak, 33 3/8” H X 26.25” W.  A unique and memorable historic artifact.
