Vintage Extremely Rare Spalding Baseball Glove Sam Mele #1101 Year 1954 For Sale

I\'m selling this glove just as I received it. I know very little about baseball gloves other than what I found online. This was a personal model of Sam Mele in 1954 and #1 glove that year. The glove leather feels soft . On the inside of the glove it states: Sam Mele signature, Adjustable Heel, Formed Pocket, Spalding, Made USA. and the # 1101. I also believe it says Reg. U.S. Patented. On the outside of the glove strap it states Wrist-Lock, Pat App For. There is a cloth Spalding patch. It seems to be in over all good condition for its age. There is a name on the underneath of the strap that I can\'t read. Also initials p y on the outside of strap. The middle finger has a small area on the seam that needs stitched. Some lacing missing on wrist-lock. Two marks in the leather on the palm that does not go thru the leather.*** Please look at the photos they are part of my description. Items are sold as-is.
