Description:

For sale is a Vintage Gibson Mastertone 5 String Banjo. This beauty was made in the early 70\'s. The neck was replaced in 1976 for a Mr. Ed Corbiser by Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto California. Ed Corbiser was the Banjo player for The Tuolumne River Boys band. The receipt for the replacement neck and the 45 record sleeve of The Tuolumne River Boys with Ed\'s name and photo are included with the Banjo. This Banjo is in good shape for it\'s age; The neck is straight, minimal fret wear, and comes with the original Gibson hard case. The Gibson logo is almost worn off of the case but it\'s still legible. The Banjo is missing one of the four thumb-screws that hold the resonator in place. The neck is a RB-4 and the serial number (# 179922 c) indicates it was made in the early 70\'s. The body & resonator may be slightly older. Buckle Rash on back is also included at no extra charge.
