Listed and pictured here is a MASSIVE lot of 100 comics featuring various issues from one of the most significant comic book sagas of the modern age of comics, and maybe all time - CIVIL WAR (Marvel Comics, 2006 - including 2005, 2007, and more).
This saga - with the main mini-series being written by Mark Millar (Kick Ass, Hit Girl, and much more) with art by Steve McNiven - features the superheroes of Marvel Comics in a war with each other over a government law called the Superhero Registration Act, which many support and others strongly oppose. At the heart of this conflict is the leadership of two legends - Captain America and Iron Man, who both stand on opposite sides and have heroes and villains supporting them. This series has been adapted into a movie which is one of the highest grossing movies of all time - and also one of the highest ranked by critics and fans.
This lot includes a trade paperback that collects the full main 7 part mini-series, and a bunch of comics that are tie-ins that include issues leading up to and directly relate to the saga, including issues from the aftermath of it all (The Initiative, Back In Black, Casualties Of War, Fallen Son, etc). At least one issue revisits the original Superhuman Registration Act that played out in the pages of Alpha Flight in the 90’s. A couple of these issues tie in to the movie adaptation of Captain America: Civil War also. This saga directly led into Secret Invasion and Dark Reign, of course, but those are different lots (check my other listings).
This lot also includes a very rare Civil War-themed short comic box that thecomics will be shipped in - made by the comic book themed supply company NECA! The box is definitely used, but alsodefinitely intact (I would grade it a VF). I will protect it as much as humanly possible.
These comics are, on average, in VF+ (8.5) condition. Some are slightly higher or lower. Any comics below VF will be indicated below, as much as possible. All comics are ALL bagged and boarded! All comics are first prints unless otherwise indicated)
