last started and used around farm summer of 2014 it goes through the gears just however if i recall it hard to go from one gear to the next while running, as something like a linkage or cable is needed, not sure, goes both slow and fast and reverse does work, i last used backhoe in the summer to dig fence post holes and grade some of the land with the front end blade. steers to the left and right. will need at the least batteries and may or may not take some tlc and tinkering to fire up. hood and grille are not attached. i am listing this for a family member and is being sold stickly as-is where is. i am positive scrap price is worth more then my asking price! can't really go wrong its just shame to see it end up there. again this is a project and needs work. personally myself and family have used it just let it is. hood and grille are not attached and and different radiator was installed years ago as org. had 2 pin hole leaks.
