2 mouthpieces made by Al Cass for Dizzy Gillespie. (provenance is Diz\' estate) THE ONLY 2 Al Cass mouthpieces in the estate. The last Al Cass pieces he used from the 1970\'s to the 1990\'s. This is AMERICAN history, a white man and a black man becoming lifetime friends serving each other at the highest levels in music/art.
These two mouthpieces have traveled the world, performed on the many stages in many lands, their owner was the Ambassador to the world and have performed for many dignitaries and on the Television and of course Radio. Thus, MAJOR screen use! This lot should be worth $1M, as it\'s impossible to price such items. This is bargain basement pricing.
I\'ve had these since the sale, I do not have the paper in the listing from the sale, they are somewhere but I can\'t lay my hands on it but I do have the 2 tags w/the stickers, they are wrapped around each piece, the stickers have fallen off the tags, (it was almost 20 years ago) The stickers are the provenance. *each piece is inscribed, corresponding to each tag. A great conversation piece I can assure you. Harness the energy emitting from these two world travelers.
