Sixth-plate daguerreotype of a young woman holding what looks like a closed, half-plate daguerreotype case. I always thought she looked a lot like a younger Mary Todd Lincoln, there are definitely facial similarities, although I am not claiming this is MTL because this woman is NOT identified. It was found in Louisville, Kentucky, however, KY being her home state.This dag is uncased and appears it has been resealed, so I\'m not sure if the mat is original. It has several swipes, some mat abrasions and one or two little specks of corrosion.
