DOROTHY THORPE ~ Elegant 8 Oz. OLD FASHIONED GLASS (Silver Band) ~ CA, USA

Description of item...Here we have a beautiful vintage clear glass/crystal OLD FASHIONED GLASS (Whiskey) by DOROTHY THORPE of California in the "Silver Band" pattern showing a 3/4" silver band on the top rim. It measures approx. 3-1/4" tall x 3" in top opening diameter x 2-1/4" in base diameter, can hold up to 8 ounces...to the brim. It is in very good maintained (lightly used) condition with no chips or cracks...appearing to have had little or no use. The silver band had not been polished since acquired and is being offered in "as found" condition (currently showing a slightly tarnished band, not at all offensive.)Came from a private home collection on many years, displayed in a diningroom hutch cabinet, however the exact age is unknown - pattern discontinued, production run 1947-1963. This item weighs approx. 1/2 lb., add 1-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
