The figure of the decoration is a lying greyhound, crossing its front legs and raising its head, with a belt on its neck.
The first pieces of this type were made in the 1820 s in the Royal Prussian Iron Foundry in Berlin, following the model of Friedrich Riese, a German sculptor.
It was first cast in Munkacs in the early 1840\'s, during the activity of V. Willaschek.
V. Willaschek produced a model similar to Riese\'s, except for the posture of the dog\'s feet.
