These superb LimitedEdition Corvette caps match the 1953 Vette and the 2003 Vette paint/interiorschemes. There were 1,953 produced of the white and red Corvette cap (1 of 1953up to 1953 of 1953) and 2,003 produced (1 of 2003 up to 2003 of 2003) of thecranberry and black Corvette Hat (see pictures). Each is individually numberedand embroidered on the left side with that number. The front of the caps areembroidered and the right side features a bronzed 50th Anniversary logo.
These collector capsare made of brushed cotton twill, and the bill features the 50th logo embossedin a leather-like material. The back strap is adjustable with a metal slidebuckle. The 1953 cap includes the 50th logo embroidered on the back, and the2003 cap includes 50th Anniversary script on the back. One size fits all.
Then the Coin! Thisbeautiful silver clad coin is 1 1/2" in diameter; one ounce in weight anddouble struck to insure the beauty of this magnificent un-circulatedcoin. The50th Logo is enhanced with FIVE enamel colors! The reverse side depicts imagesof the 1953 and 2003 Corvette. Each Coin is individually SERIAL NUMBERED (getthe picture?) and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. To insure mintcondition, each coin is encased in an airtight capsule. The 50th Corvette Coincomes in a beautiful embossed four color collector tin.
So here is the legalstuff. The caps were commissioned by Summit Marketing (thru The Corvette 50thStore) for the Nashville50th Anniversary Celebration. They are brand new, never worn, and officiallylicensed (B10120) by GM...all trademark tags and placards are still inplace. These are the only "OFFICIAL LIMITED EDITION NUMBEREDHATS" produced and are not available anywhere except on the secondary market.The original cap distribution system was never intended to supply specificnumbers or "matched pair" type marketing.
The 50th AnniversaryCoin was proudly produced by WKRW Visual Arts. It is truly spectacular. Again,as the hats, the Coins were Commissioned for the Celebration in Nashville. These are brandnew, still in collector tin, with the official GM licensee (C21054) Hologramstill intact.
