c1910s BUESCHER TRUE TONE TRUMPET SILVER PLATE W/ MISSENHARTER COLEMAN MUTE :
$125.00

This is a very old BUESCHER True Tone trumpet. I am no expert on trumpets but I can play a scale. I will describe to the best of my ability. Please ask questions if you have specific concerns. This trumpet is marked True Tone on the side of the valves. All serial numbers match where I found them - 174194. Also, there is a patent date on outside of valve case of Oct. 29 1907. The trumpet is not playing well now. It could be me, but I could not get a good sound playing the one scale I know. However all valves and slides do move freely. Others than some modest dings throughout the condition is pretty good. The Silverplate finish is worn and I have not attempted to polish it. The bell is brass on the inside. This come with two unmarked mouthpieces, the small music stand, cleaning rod and another small silver tube of which I am uncertain of the purpose. The brass mute is pretty cool. It is a Harry Coleman Missenharter made in Philadelphia. Of course the trumpet and case indicate Elkhart Indiana manufacture. Case appears original to the trumpet and in fair condition. Interestingly I see new corks and pads on the valves. I believe this was probably played by a student in recent years. Please contact me if you have specific concerns prior to placing a offer. Thank you.
