Youthful image in tie and jacket, inscribed in person to collector Saul Goodman
Photograph inscribed and signed: \"To Saul/Best wishes/Buddy Ebsen\". Collector\'s ink stamp on verso dates signature: July 18, 1939. Originally a dancer, Buddy Ebsen (1908-2003) did just that in many films of the 1930s. Later a sidekick to Western heroes Rex Allen and Fess Parker, he also played serious character roles, as in Night People (1955). Ebsen\'s greatest success came on TV, however, where he starred on The Beverly Hillbillies (1962-1971) and Barnaby Jones (1973-1980). Saul Goodman (1919-2003), a New York business man by day, pursued his love of film and theatre in the evening, making friends with many celebrities. While other autograph seekers offered album leaves, Goodman presented stars with snazzy photographs, a rarity then, to sign in fountain pen. Light surface rubbing around signature and inscription. Scattered light spotting to image and borders. Slightly creased, with faint vertical line through right portion of image. Shipping - We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address. Due to the value of most purchases, a signature is required for delivery. This policy limits our ability to ship to PO Boxes. All international shipments (destinations outside the U.S) will be sent via FedEx. Please feel free to contact us in advance for shipping charges - international customers are encouraged to do so.
