Austrian Model 1905 Dragoon Officers\' Helmet.

Black enameled metal body with gilt-brass trim and high stamped-gilt-brass comb with a vignette of a lion in combat with a snake embossed on each side.

Gilt-brass Austrian double-headed eagle front plate mounted to the helmet with threaded posts, washers and retaining nuts.

Gilt-brass lion\'s head chin-scale bosses and leather-backed, brass oak-leaf pattern chin-scales.

2 ½-inch leather sweatband and maroon silk head lining.

Helmet has been in my collection for approx 35 years - untouched and uncleaned during that time.

Overall in excellent condition.
