This item up for sale is a 1931 Model 82 cathedral. This set is all original except the switch on the side, which was installed to replace the on/off switch that went bad. Whether it be ignorance or just plain not caring, it was a fools act by whoever would drill a hole in the side of such a beautiful radio. With all theinternethas to offer today, a little effortwouldhavedisplayed the correct part for this problem. I would love to keep it and restore it myself , but time nor money will allow me to do so. So I am offering this beautiful, all original , King of the Atwater Kent Cathedrals for restoration.The set will need all electronics restored as it doesn\'t pick up stations. It is obvious that the cabinet will not need much, as it is in excellent original condition. The grille cloth is original and is in great shape for it\'s age. The speaker is original and the knobs, everything for this set is right for perfection.
