I\'m so thrilled to offer this GorgeousHistoric Bracelet featuring the Alabama Polytechnic InstituteSeal, now known as Auburn University...Auburn University was known as Alabama Polytechnic Institutefrom 1899-1960 before it was renamed AuburnUniversity.

This braceletis a True Rare Treasure.

The style is aslinky, metal-mesh.

The Centerpiece Bucklefeatures a small round insignia seal with three people in the center and around them, the writing:

\"Alabama Polytechnic Institute Founded 1872\"

1872 is when Auburn became the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama.In dire financial straits after the Civil War, the University\'s affiliation with the Methodist Church ended when the church gaveoverlegal control of the University tothe State of Alabama. In 1899 the name changed to Alabama Polytechnic Institute. Women were admitted in 1892 so this likely adorned the wrist of a co-ed during her years at Auburn...imagine her walking the loveliest village on the plainswearing this special bracelet.

This Bracelet is Wideand closes with an over-sized buckle clasp.Condition: Very good vintage condition. Good clasp. Fastening ends show wear/scuffs but shows very well when worn. See all pics.
