For Sale: A Vintage VOLAND andSONS Analytic Balance Scale with 3 Weight Sets

This particular scale, #030405 made in New Rochelle, NY for the General Scientific Co. is in very good condition. It was purchased by anindustrial diamond plant to measure the weight of industrial diamonds, chipsand dust in the manufacture of diamond wheels and other products. These typesof scales were also often used by jewelers to measure gold or silver whenaccuracy was of utmost importance.

There are many adjustments including the legs to level the scale and adjustthe readings to precision. Front glass door slides open and counter weightshold it open.

Also includes 4 sets of weights, tweezer and 3 sizes of scoops/funnels.

Please view all pictures and be aware there is a fine line crack in thetop glass.
