up for sale is an extremely rare fixture, patented in 1916. it is a cord retractor that allows the user to easily raise and lower the socket. all brass body. great overall condition after 100 years of use. i haven\'t seen one of these outside the circles of serious collectors for LONG time. the fixture is in working condition but needs to be rewired. please see the last image for the 1916 patent application drawing of this rare fixture.
