~19.75\" Tall 6\" x 5\" Rectangular Base

NOTE: THERE IS POTENTIALLY A MAJOR DEFECT AND I AM FAIRLY CERTAIN THE HEAD WAS BROKEN AND REPAIRED AT SOME POINT. THERE IS PAINT DEGRADATION AROUND THE NECK OF THIS PIECE AND A FINE DARK LINE THAT GOES ALL THE WAY AROUND.  IT WAS LIKELY REPAIRED PROFESSIONALLY, BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE FULL HISTORY.  THAT BEING SAID, I GENERALLY TEST THE STRENGTH OF THE REPAIR BY GENTLY SWINGING THE WEIGTH OF THE FIGURINE HOLDING THE REPAIRED JOINT AND DID NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IT HOLDING WEIGHT.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS ALSO A MINOR CHIP ON THE INTERIOR OF THE BASE AS WELL AS MINOR PAINT LOSS AROUND THE EXTERIOR OF THE BASE, PRICE WILL REFLECT CONDITION

Please examine photos carefully.  This piece was crafted in the late 1800s to early 1900s by Austrian artist, Johann Maresch.  It depicts a man holding a beer stein and poker cards while leaning on a tree branch.  It is a very large and heavy piece and will hopefully make an excellent addition to your collection.  I have one other piece by the same artist that is also available for sale under a seperate listing, the pious woman...  Thank you for your consideration and please be well.
