Antique German Brass Apothecary Gold Scale & Weight Set- in Original Wooden Case For Sale

This antique set comes from the estate of a jeweler who died years ago. The set was placed into storage after his death until now. The antique brass set comes in its original wooden case which is labelled West Germany on the bottom. The scale consists of several parts; a rod which screws into the wooden case bottom, a balance bar which levels onto the bar and two brass dishes with chains which are attached to the balance bar. There are 7 brass weights, as pictured- the largest is only a lid type weight which covers a hole containing several small silver colored square grain weights. The brass weights are labelled 1 and 2 Troy oz. and 2, 5 and 10 DWT. (There are 2 of the 2 DWT weights.) The grain weights are 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12 grn. Also, inside the box was a metal millimeter gauge for G-S fancy crystals. The scale may need balancing. You are buying AS IS.
