This French miniature portrait is hand painted in enamel on copper by Master enameler Michel Betourne. The portrait is of a young boy in French military uniform of the mid 19th century. It is housed in a wood and gilt frame with light matting and a gold rabett. The enamel plaque is concave and the painting is very well executed. Condition is very good with some very minor wear to the edge of the frame.Measurements are: 7" by 5 3/4" and 1" deep.
