Antique c. 1897 Columbia Graphophone Type Q Model A

This is the earliest version of the Graphophone, which had brushed steel base and a solid key. In 1901 the machine was redesigned with a black base with gilt striping and a figural key. The support for the governor was moved from the base to the motor assembly.The case shows very minor repair, and it most likely has a clear coat.The original very scarce 14\" aluminum horn has many shallow dents, scratches, etc., is marked \"PAT APPL\'D FOR\".Included with the phonograph are, 3 Columbia Indestructible 2 min records, all 3 are in very good to excellent condition. One record container, has only the bottom, one has no bottom or cover, one container is complete.The original floating reproducer is in very good working order.All in all the phonograph, is in very good to excellent condition.
