This is an industrial grade wire locator that can locate wires in walls or buried up to 13 feet away. Hook up the transmitter to the wire and it sends a small amperage pulse on the wire that is so small it does noteffect even computers on the same circuit. The Tracerhand-held circuit tracing device can be used without turning off power or interrupting sensitive electronic equipment. The current tracer consists of a transmitter and a receiver for tracing 6-300 V circuits, ac or dc. The transmitter, when connected to a power source, draws short bursts of current. This is a use unit and is working great.
