Age: 113 years ago it was started, finished 119 years ago. It is Signed~Dated with embroidery of the start and finish years 1890 and 1904.
An impressive array of embroidery stitches embellish every patch, some appearing in multiple rows. Biomorphic/botanical inspired design stitches, some look like dandelion orbs. These wonderful stitches appear as overlapping patterns in multiple colors around every patch, adding a very unique layering to the design. Much attention was given to this project. These stitches are unique to the creator of this mind blowing quilt. I have not seen a lot of these before.
