50\'s VINTAGE HAT BOX. Round, Classic Design, All Original, Cord Handle, Lovely For Sale

This Hat Box is made of a light weight grade of paperboard covered with a pale pink decorative \"wall paper-like\" covering with a stylized feather design. The edge of the lid is covered in a solid gold colored paper, the cord that serves as both handle and something that secures the lid is gold-colored cord. How do I know this is from the mid 1950\'s? Because it was mine! I used it for hats in the day, then I used it to store gloves. When gloves became outdated, I kept this to use to store and display gloves for sale at Antique Shows in the the 1980\'s and 1990\'s. When I packed up my Antique Textiles inventory for the last time in 2002, this hat box was stored with gloves inside until two weeks ago. My gloves are sold, except for two pair, making it unnecessary to keep the hat box. As with other items accumulated over a lifetime, this is being listed and sold on now. Measurements: 12\" in diameter and 7\" high. As you may be able to see from the photographs, there\'s indication of use and wear but there are no holes, tears or repairs. There are a couple of places with some discoloration but no major condition issues to report. The cord is intact, the eyelets are still solid in the cardboard walls.
