Here is a nice set of 4 leather bound books published by the Franklin Library of Pulitzer Prize winning books for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!

These fine books are being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a fine book shop or sale house. We can do that by being a dealer in artwork for over 40 years, better controlling our acquisition costs, keeping commission costs low (if applicable). Finally, we don\'t have the overhead that fine book shops or sale houses have.

Published by the Franklin Library, they are beautiful, leather bound hardcover editions. The blank end sheets on the front and back of each book is made of a moire fabric. Raised hub spines.These are the original first editions, first printings,first limited edition seriesdone by Franklin, not the ones they reissued in 1980.

The 1st book was a Pulitzer Prize winner in 1958. James Agee first published \"A Death in the Family\" book in 1938. The book has black covers with a gold gilt design on both the covers and the spine. The book is 342 pages in length, and was published by Franklin in 1979.

The 2nd book offered here is entitled, \"The Yearling\". The Pulitzer Prize winner in 1939. The author, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings published the book originally in 1938. The book has green covers with a gold gilt design on both the covers and the spine. Some minor loss along the front cover\'s outer edge. The book is 431 pages in length and published by Franklin in 1977.

The 3rd book offered here is entitled, \"Collected Stories\". The Pulitzer Prize winner in 1970. The author, Jean Stafford, published the book originally in 1944-1969. The book has light brown covers with a gold gilt design on both the covers and the spine. The book is 414 pages in length, and was published by Franklin in 1979.

The 4th book offered here is entitled, \"Lamb in His Bosom\". The Pulitzer Prize winner in 1934. The author, Caroline Miller, published the book originally in 1933. The book has dark brown covers with a gold gilt design on both the covers and the spine. The book is 324 pages in length, and published by Franklin in 1978.

These books were part of a limited edition, not sure how many were actually issued. The books were issued as part of the Franklin Library Pulitzer Prize series. The spines are ribbed and the smooth cut page edges have a gold gilt. The spine and board is decorated with 22k gold gilt. The book is printed on archival quality paper, decorated end papers, and a satin page ribbon/marker.

The books are in very nice shape. The boards are sharp and the binding is tight. There are no marks in the books and the gilding is clean. No nameplate is affixed or included in these books. Some minor gilt loss on the open side of the pages.

The cloth page markers is still attached in the books. No musty or mildew smell to the books. No marks or owner tags in the books.

Each book is 8.55\" to 9.5\" tall, by 6\" to 6.5\" across, by 1.25\" to 1.5\" wide. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Don’t be shy to make an offer, we are always open to reasonable suggestions.
