1942 Harvard Radio Research Laboratory MIT Radiation Misc Ephemera WWII Vtg
--- These items are only related by the fact they were stored together. The two photos may not be related to any of the paper items. There is a 1942 Telegram sent by Dr. R.W. Hickman at the Harvard Radio Research Laboratory that just relates to a personal matter regarding friends travel plans. Paper that looks like what we would think of as a xerox looks like an old photostat, the blueish tone in the black border indicates a gelatin silver photo process. Listed in a separate listing is a parking pass for the MIT radiation lab, this cartoon photostat seems to be related to the MIT lab comical comments (the typed "apology" infers that the "conference" was so dry the Secretary of War in attendance in fact thought it "dry" and I assume doodled the drawings, perhaps they were recovered by a student from a discarded program). The pencilled sheet of paper I paired together with the red border label titled R.R.L. Procedures Mr. F.R. Barnes (who was the student all of the ephemera was related to), I say "paired" because it was stored with the ephemera but not attached to the pencilled sheet but it seems reasonable that it is related, that pencilled sheet has some notes etc about amateur radio protocol, the strange thing is how the writing seems to slowly degenerate into illegible scribbles, maybe meant as a joke or who knows what. The two 4.25" x 3.25" snapshots are not identified and could likely have no relation to any of the paper items, the photos have a different tonal quality indicating they were printed on different paper and perhaps from a different film type.--- See photos for condition details. --- Will be well packed--- See shipping options above
