1940 Zenith Short Wave Tube Radio Cabinet Works w/ Wavemagnet Model 8A02 For Sale

1940 Zenith Short Wave Tube RadioCabinet with the Roto wavemagnet. Model 8A02, Serial # A214993 and has hand written a number: 1278 on the back of the radio. The radio does come on and does light up the tubes and the front dial, but I don\'t know if it picks up the short wave frequencies? Sorry I just don\'t know enough about this kind of stuff, but it does light up and the speaker makes sound so I\'m stating that it works to this degree. The radio seems complete and has all it\'s bakelite type buttons and the major round dial. Has a wooden cabinet and measures approx 41 inches tall and is approx 27 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. This radio type is fragile and have a pick up only on this. Other Zenith Short Waves go for several hundred more then what I\'m asking here. So help yourself to a bargain.

Condition: This radio is dirty and the wooden cabinet does have a few nicks and dings on it. The top is worn and someone layed a cigarette on it and burnt a small place in it. (photo). Some of the wiring in the back looks like someone place vintage black tape on them (photo). But all in all this is a nice vintage Zenith Short Wave and would make a great addition to any collection. Please look over the photo\'s carefully and ask questions before you offer, or buy.
