1940 Zenith Model 7S529 AM/Shortwave Table Radio with Walnut Cabinet For Sale

Here we have a 1940 Zenith, Model 7S529 (Chassis: 7A02), AM/Shortwave,7-tube table radio. Unit is in very good, all original condition. It works fine and pulls in stations well. However, the volume control is a bit scratchy. Some of the features on this radio: It has a Wave-Magnet antenna, \"organ stop\" style tone controls, and Automatic push-button tuning. These features all work properly. I bought this radio several years ago and I can\'t remember if it had any major work done to it electronically, other than routine maintenance. When I got it, it was working fine from the get-go and I\'ve never had to remove the back panel for any reason. The walnut cabinet has it\'s original finish and has wear appropriate for it\'s age. It has some alligatoring, especially on top, and there are also several small water marks on the top, mostly on the front left side, which were hard to bring out with the camera. Also, the seam between the wood in the top is visible. The rest of the flaws are documented in the photos above. I did notpolish the radio before taking the pictures.Please look at the pictures carefully. The dimensions of the radio are 16 x 9.5 x 10 inches and it weighs about 18 pounds. It will be very carefully packed in a heavy duty box! Along with the usual shipping material, the radio will be completely cocooned in packing foam!
