There is a photograph and descriptive text on the Miantonomoh, one of the last monitors constructed for the U.S. Navy. This iron-hulled warship saw brief service during the Spanish-American War, where she was part of the Cuban blockading squadron off Havana.On the reverse side there is a subscription solicitation for The Chicago Daily News, "unexcelled for freshness, completeness and reliability."
