On colored laid paper. Showing only minor signs of age and handling.Expected fold creases from posting. Two holes near top edge. Slight top edge creasing. No fastening staple / pin holes. Eye-catching red starcompany header w/ simpletype faces / fonts. Clean edges and surface. In very goodcondition. *Ephraim Baker (1836-1919) operated a general store in Mount Olive, Shenandoah County, Virginia for most of his adult life. Thisis part of a collectionof Checks, billheads and letterheads mostly from purchases from wholesale merchants for inventory for Baker\'s store.His store was used at one point as a hospital during the Civil War. He also served as Mt. Olive Postmaster from 1874 to 1889 and 1895 1898. Baker is buried in the Saint Stephens Cemetery, Strasburg, VA
