πŸ”₯ Fine Antique Old ITALIAN Modern Egidio CASAGRANDE Jardiniere Planter, 1940s:
$1350.00

This is a well-crafted and exquisiteFine Antique Old ITALIAN Modern Egidio CASAGRANDE Brass Jardiniere Planter, circa 1940's - 1950's, designed by Casagrande, and produced by his workshop in Borgo Valsugana, in Southern Italy. This piece has a Classical and Art Nouveau appearance and is meticulously hand hammered from what appears to be a single sheet of thin brass, or possibly copper. At the base of this work, four stylized lion's feet can be seen. Stamped: "E. CASAGRANDE. ITALY. BORGO VALSUGANA" on the underside. Approximately 23 1/4 inches wide x 13 inches deep x 6 3/4 inches tall. The depth of the basin is approximately 6 inches. Good condition for decades of age and use, with speckles of verdigris, some mild age-related patination on the interior. It also appears that two of the lion's feet had been detached at some point in the past and have been carefully soldered back on. This is only noticeable if you are looking at this work from the underside, and these old repairs do not detract from its appearance in any way. Priced to sell. A nearly identical large Casagrande planter is currently on for 3K+, and in galleries this piece could expect to sell for much more than that. Acquired from an affluent old home in West Los Angeles, California. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
