This beautiful 1930s Art Deco double compartment makeup compact by Foster features a striking nautical design on the lid with an applied gold-tone sailboat emblem against a dark midnight blue enamel backdrop, accented by hand-painted white and light blue ocean ripples. The compact opens via a secure push button to reveal its original square mirror and dual gold-tone interior frames—one side still containing its vintage pink rouge cake under a plush protective cover, and the other designed for face powder. Measuring approximately 2.5 inches long, this rare collector's piece is in wonderful vintage condition with smooth hinges, clean interior metalwork, and an intricate floral scrollwork pattern engraved entirely around the side bezel.
