University of Florida Gators Alligator 1966 60th Anniversary Rare Collectible Newspaper

This is the original University of Florida "Florida Alligator" newspaper from October 19, 1966. To mark the 60th Anniversary of the school, the newspaper included reproduction pages from the original first issue in 1906. The "University News," as it was known in those days, are included in the first two pages of this publication, and the last two pages. The editors also used the typeset and style of the 1906 paper throughout this edition as a homage to that newspaper.

Measures approximately 11 1/2" x 17". 20 Pages.

Newspaper is folded and will be shipped that way.

The fold is uneven. Item has creasing, edge tearing, turned corners, discoloration, marks and other wear from age, handling and storage. The paper creases and bunches up near the center fold. There is a hole on the front cover, at the fold, as well as heavier discoloration.
